For a month in Karachay-Cherkessia is "Wandering linguist", as he calls himself, Dmitry Tyurin.

-Actually, I am a physicist by education, graduated from Samara aerospace University, – says Dmitry. – But since I began to travel, I have become interested in the languages of the peoples who live in the regions which I visit, especially – sounds. I made a phonemic alphabet that can display all the sounds of the world's languages.

Dmitry came to Karachay-Cherkessia being interested in Abaza language.

– I know that the Abaza language has a very complex phonetics, and I am interested in it. Of great interest is polusintetices of Abaza language. Besides, this language interests me as one of the few autochthonous languages of the world. And, when I learned that free circles of the Abaza language work in the organization "Alashara", I decided to take these courses. And here I am, - says the traveller.

Dmitry Tyurin has been travelling since 2011. Before that, he was immobilized. His St. Petersburg friend had three times persistently invited Dmitry to his house to make him decide to do it. After that Dmitry suffered.

– I stayed in St. Petersburg, and on the way back – I was hitchhiking – stopped in Vologda. Then I decided to drive on the "Golden ring". From there I was brought to the Caucasus, then-to Western Ukraine, Moldova... and since then I go home from St. Petersburg. "On the road" managed to travel all over Russia, all the former Soviet republics, except the Baltic States and Turkmenistan, and 22 other countries, – says Dmitry Tyurin.

According to Dmitry for all his travels only twice he had to pay the fare. On living,  he didn`t spend much money.

"Travelers don't live in hotels. Most often they live with each other. There are special sites on which they communicate and agree about the place for the night, - Dmitry explains.

Dmitry Tyurin earns on a life by different ways: takes up a different work – porter, distributor of electoral propaganda leaflets, he had even worked in the circus «Shipito». Usually, where he finds something to do, he lingers for a longer time.

Dmitry didn`t find work in Cherkessk yet, but plans to live here for a few months, until the end of two levels of studying Abaza language in the circle of "Alashara".
