Analyzing the results of the work of the International Association "Alashara" in 2019, you come to the conclusion that every year more and more people are involved in the activities of the public organization. Moreover, these are not only participants and spectators, but also those who help in organizing and conducting events, making their own physical, mental or material contribution, and sometimes they themselves organize and conduct them, receiving support from "Alashara". According to the head of the office of ANO "Alashara" in Cherkessk, Murat Mukov, if you sum up the financial assistance received from partners and the cost of gratuitously performed works and services provided during events, you will get a figure exceeding 9 million rubles! This is not counting projects implemented through the national fund of the Abaza people.

Since its creation, Alashara has positioned itself as an organization working on the principle of "not instead, but together". "Alashara" is not a substitute for government agencies, but cooperates with them. It does not "bring happiness on a platter", which is expected in localities, but together with the population solves problems to improve life in our villages. And gradually the dependent mood of rural residents is replaced by a desire to create something on their own.

– In a relatively short period of time, we managed to achieve tangible changes in the minds of people – this is the most important result of the six-year activity of "Alashara", - says the president of the organization Moussa Ekzekov. – But there is still a lot of work to do to make these changes more significant.

Time-tested

From year to year, the program of ANO "Alashara" includes events that have proven themselves since the first years of the organization's existence. First of all, this applies, of course, to the Day of culture of the Abaza people and the Games of the Abaza people. And every year the number of people participating in them and visiting them becomes more and more. According to observers ' estimates, more than 3,000 people attended the two most popular cultural and sports festivals in Abaza in 2019. And, in accordance with the dialectical law of the transition of quantitative changes to qualitative ones, both the organization of these events and the results achieved are improving. Thus, almost all previous records were broken at the last national sports games.

The International Association "Alashara" continues its publishing activities, reissuing works of Abaza authors that have become bibliographic rarities and releasing previously unpublished ones. Gradually gaining popularity sports "Aykha katsa», small marathon, football tournaments for different age categories-from children to sports veterans. Last year, 142 people attended the Abaza language clubs at the «Alashara» International Association, 98 of them completed full courses of primary or basic level and successfully passed the tests. Traditional scientific and practical conferences "Klychev readings" and "Tabulov readings" were held with the participation of large delegations from Abkhazia, and more than 200 schoolchildren participated in competitions in Abaza language and literature. Work continues on translating cartoons into Abaza language, and work is being completed on creating the first feature film in Abaza language. The environmental campaign "Plant your family tree" in 2019 was held in four more villages-Staro-Kuvinsk, Novo-Kuvinsk, Inzhich-Chukun and Elburgan, where 200 seedlings of coniferous trees were planted. Much work is still being done to promote a healthy lifestyle, protect the health of mothers and children, and study the history of Abaza families, development of the youth movement, organization of environmental subbotniks, support of civil initiatives and work with rural assets, legal assistance. With the support of the ANO "Alashara", a choreographic circle in Staro-Kuvinsk, circles of decorative and applied arts are working.

All these and other events repeated from year to year and time-tested have become familiar and expected among Abazins and Abkhazians not only in Karachay-Cherkessia, but also in other regions, and in the future the most significant of them will be held with a more representative participation of the foreign diaspora.

Native language is always a priority

The 2019 year brought a lot of new things to the work of ANO "Alashara". Working through the plans, the heads of the directions constantly find some interesting forms of events, various methods of achieving the intended results using modern technologies. The Abaza language department (Murat Dzhandarov) last year completed the creation of mobile applications to help students of Abaza and Abkhazian languages: an Abkhazian-Russian dictionary, an Abaza primer and a reader. For Android, a test for knowledge of the language and culture of the Abaza people has also been developed.

– These applications were developed earlier by Abaza specialists in the field of information technology and were given to us for placement on the Android and IOS platforms completely free of charge. In general, such developments cost a lot of money, – says Murat Dzhandarov.

For children of preschool and primary school age, didactic games were made, adapted to the Abaza language by the head of the kindergarten "Alashara" (aul Psyzh) Ashibokova Zurida. They will be distributed to 11 kindergartens and 31 schools that teach the Abaza language.

The head of another kindergarten – "Alyonushka" (aul Elburgan), Oksana Adzhieva, finalized the methodological manuals for the study of the Abaza language in preschool institutions. And a young scientist Dzhemakulova Zaira developed Educational-methodical complex for learning Abaza language from scratch for the city's schools. Illustrated by artist Amir Bidzhev, the EMC is now being prepared for publication.

"Alashara" helps to teach the language not only in Abaza auls of the KChR. With the support of the organization Abaza lessons are conducted in Adyge-Khabl primary and Erken-Shakhar secondary schools. "Alashara" provides educational, methodological and visual materials for Abaza language clubs in Stavropol and Moscow.

In the summer of 2019, at the request of the Abaza diaspora in Turkey, Zaur Liev was sent to the village of Akpynar to conduct classes in the Abaza language, more than 100 people were trained by him in two and a half months.

We need a healthy nation

Promotion of the improvement of the quality of medical care of the population, creation of conditions for sports and healthy lifestyle is another priority in the activity of ANO «Alashara».

In this regard, the action "Week of early diagnosis of oncological diseases," which «Alashara» with the financial support of the Abkhaz public Foundation "Amshra" and personally its head Beslan Rodionovich Agrba organized in Karachai-Circassia, is unprecedented. The action was supported by the Ministry of health of the KChR and the republican cancer center. During the week, 15 doctors of international level, members of the Eurasian Foundation of doctors, examined residents of the republic and trained local doctors. About 600 people were surveyed, about 400 of whom were residents of Abazin auls and 200 were residents of other settlements. As a result of the action, 18 people with oncopathology and 43 people with benign entities were identified. 15 patients were operated on by high-quality oncologists, including doctor of medical sciences, professor of the department of oncology and radiation therapy, chief researcher of the Blochin Scientific Cancer center V.M. Nechushkina. All operations were completed safely. The action covered 35 doctors of oncodispenser, 15 doctors of district polyclinics, 18 medical workers of FAPs, students of medical institute of SSTA.

Earlier, the department "Medicine" of ANO "Alashara" (Madina Ekzekova) organized laboratory and diagnostic examination for cancer in the aul of Kara- Pago. During the month, 200 aul settlements were examined, 5 of whom showed Hepatitis C. 90 men were examined for prostatic specific antigen, 7 of them had a deviation from the norm. The diagnosis of prostate cancer was confirmed in 3 people. All were provided with the necessary care in the oncological clinic, and since the disease was detected at an early stage, the probability of a successful result of treatment is very high.

Much attention is paid to the health of future and young mothers, for whom seminars are organized and classes are held with the performance of special physical exercises - the corresponding sports equipment was purchased on a grant of ANO «Alashara».

But the best way to maintain health is through prevention and a healthy lifestyle. Thanks to the efforts of the «Alashara» organization, new sports facilities, accessible to all, have appeared in Abazin aulas, and residents have more opportunities for physical education and sports. And now the villagers themselves organize various sports competitions, award material for which «Alashara» provides. Over the past year 6 such competitions were held.

The novelty of the year in the department of sports development of ANO "Alashara" (Rasul Chukov) was the event "Record holders of the people of Abaza", during which 13 records in various types of exercises were recorded.

And the best recognition of the effectiveness of the department was awarding Rasul Chukov with the National Sports Award of Russia in the nomination "The best organizer of sports and sports activity in rural areas"!

"We showed not only Karachai-Cherkessia, but also the whole country, how it is possible to effectively and successfully develop sports in villages and auls," - so commented this award Moussa Ekzekov.

Behind them is the future

What will tomorrow be for Abazins? In many ways, it depends on which young people we grow up today. Caring for the younger generation is one of the cornerstone of Alashara's strategy. Almost all departments of the social organization are involved in one way or another in solving problems related to the upbringing of children and the development of young people. This is purposefully done by the departments "Family and children" (Natella Dzhemakulova) and "Youth development" (Bella Mambetova), and women 's councils (Zalikha Malhozova) take an active part in this work. Various aspects of work with children and young people are covered: assistance to families with many children, clarification of Abazara norms, preservation of traditions, study of the history of the people, support of talented young people, holding training trainings, promotion of participation of activists in various regional and federal state programs, association of young people, development of volunteer movement.

- For us it is very important that our children, our young people know their language, their traditions, be physically and mentally developed - it is all the basis of success, - says Moussa Ekzekov.

With the assistance of the International Association "Alashara" in 2019 46 young children and girls took part in 15 events of regional and federal level, 4 social projects prepared by them won grants. 8 school graduates were admitted to universities in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don and KChR. There were 6 educational blocks where 110 people were trained. 3 historical trips organized. The active volunteer corps has grown to 50 people who provide great assistance in organizing and carrying out various events. In 2019, "Dedication to students" was held for the first time for freshmen of higher and secondary special educational institutions of the KChR, which resulted in a large youth holiday, which brought together more than 100 students.

The new activities of the Family and Children department and women 's councils include the project "Generational connection," which included 5 events involving 370 people between the ages of 13 and 83, and a demonstration Abazin wedding held in the Krasny Vostok, which can serve as a model of how modern weddings can be held in accordance with the main traditional rituals.

We can do a lot of things

The 2019 year was marked as an unprecedented activity of the Abazin aul public. In addition to the sports competitions organized by the residents themselves, several social projects were implemented, the money for which was collected through the national fund of the people of Abaza. This direction in ANO "Alashara" is supervised by the deputy head of the separate unit in Cherkessk Murat Gedugov. A total of 1075828 rubles were collected during the year. Several auls used the money collected in their accounts and thus solved some pressing problems. In Krasny Vostok, the pump station was modernized and the water supply to the village was significantly improved. In Enzhich-Chukun, the cemetery was improved and a house building for the storage of cemetery equipment was built. In Kara - Pago, they bought uniform for the local children 's football team. Paving tiles were laid in Staro-Kuvinsk in front of the school. A fence was installed in Malo-Abazinsk school. Sports structures were purchased and installed in Psyzh and Krasny Vostok. The work was mainly carried out free of charge by the local population.

- We were more than once convinced that we can make our villages more comfortable to live in them. The past year has shown that people realize this and are ready to invest in the improvement of native auls not only work, but also personal money, - Moussa Ekzekov believes.

36 people took part in the grant competition of ANO «Alashara» in the sphere of support of civil initiatives. 33 applications were submitted, 12 of which were approved. Three projects have already been implemented, the rest are under implementation.

Legality and openness

The International Association «Alashara» attaches great importance to the legal and information support of its events.

- Everything must be according to the law, and everything must be transparent. Everyone should be able to obtain information about our activities. We must be open to all. - These are the demands of the president of the organization Moussa Ekzekov.

The legal department is responsible for the correct processing of all supporting documentation. But the duties of lawyers Mahmoud Kurtayev and Larisa Pospelova include the provision of free legal assistance. 110 people received legal advice from them in 2019. They have helped to draw up 75 claims and complaints, 40 of which have been granted, 25 have been rejected, and 10 have not been answered yet. Assistance is also provided to the administrations of Abazin rural settlements.

The availability of information about ANO «Alashara» is ensured by the fact that all its activities are covered on the official website of the alashara.org organization, in all social networks, as well as in the newspaper «Alashara» and the digest «Abaza сountry». The information and analytical support Department (Georgy Chekalov, Asiyat Ionova) tries to publish information on all available resources quickly.

In total, more than 200 information materials were posted on the site in a year. 29 articles have been published in the International journal section. The section "Library" for 2019 was updated with 19 units of book and newspaper and magazine products, the section "Filmotek" - with 9 units of video products. The site is visited by more than 11,000 visitors from 86 countries. In 2019 there were 19432 visits, 52479 views. Since November 2019, the section created for the Association of Abazin public organizations "Apsadgyl" began to work on the site.

More than 400 publications have been posted on social networks. 67 new videos and 9 live broadcasts were published in channel YouTube. The number of subscribers of the channel ANO "Alashara" on YouTube has doubled during the year. In the most popular Instagram network at present the organization has 14,400 subscribers, in other social networks - from two to five thousand.

In addition, many ANO «Alashara» events are covered by regional and federal media.

On the scheduled course

The results of «Alashara» 's activities and the reaction of people to these activities make it possible to argue that the course originally determined by the founder of the organization and its president Moussa Ekzekov is correct. And at the beginning of 2020 the movement in the same direction will continue.

- Yes, not all still accepted our ideas, we hear critics of ourselves too. Probably some points need to be corrected. But in general we are going in the right direction, and we cannot turn away from this path. We have to go further, expanding our work, involving even more people. And we will definitely achieve our goals! - Moussa Ekzekov is sure.
