Abazgi`s victorious season
The football team «Abazgi» from aul Psyzh in 2019 became the champion of Karachai-Cherkessia. Having made 20 matches, having won in 16 of them, and in four more having played in a draw, Psyzh footballers became the best of 11 collectives who participated in republican superiority. So the players marked the 70th anniversary of Psyzh football, celebrated last year. Note that this victory became the twenty-second in the championships of Karachai-Cherkessia in all glorious history of the team from Psyzh.
The football team in Psyzh was formed in 1949 and already in 1955 won the Sports contest of the South of Russia. In 70 years of its existence it, in addition to 22 victories in the championships of the region and the republic, 11 times took the second place in them, 20 times won the Cup and 2 times - the Super Cup of the republic. In 1995, the team, defending the honor of the Prikuban district, became the winner of the Sports Contest dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. In 2006 and 2007, Psyzh footballers won the President 's Cup of KHhR . Since 1990 they were the first at 23 tournaments held in Karachai-Cherkessia.
The anniversary year was also marked by victories in the republican tournament on mini-football with participation of 18 teams, in the tournament of memory of Azamate Ksalov in Elburgan, tournament of memory of the former player of team Muhamed Kunizhev, more known for the achievements in another kind of sport - sambo.
The first place in the championship allowed «Abazgi» team to participate in the Cup of the North Caucasus, which was played among champions of the region. In persistent struggle they gave to rivals from Tskhinval - 2:3.
The soul of the current Psyzh team is its captain Rustam Lyauv. Its best bomber Arthur Tabishev makes a big contribution to victories. The defence of the Psyzh team together with its captain cements Vadim Gogov, and the middle of the field is controlled by Albert Muratkov, Nurdin Kakupshev, Muradin Tabishev. The whole team equals on the leaders, and it became the guarantee of big victories.
Now «Abazgi» are preparing for a new season. We wish them this year to continue the glorious traditions of Psyzh football.
